Good wine is cheap in NZ. Production is booming. A supermarket chain had a special on Montana's Lindauer Special Reserve Brut Riche a couple of days ago, NZ$10 = US$8 It's really good stuff. Same with the Lindauer Sec. It sells fast as, unfortunately, word of mouth has spread. My neighbour designed the Lindauer production system for Montana a decade or so ago.

Here’s a sobering thought for you. A global wine shortage may be around the corner.

According to a report released this week by Morgan Stanley Research, there was a global undersupply of about 300 million cases of wine in 2012, the largest deficit recorded in almost 50 years.
