"WP IS TERMINAL" I wouldn't say so soon.

Friends,

Back when I consulted for a shrink wrapped software company, we all new that corporate sales was where the money is. In fact, one of the reasons I liked the WP acquisition is because "now they can also sell all other products to their corporate accounts".

Imagine my surprise when I read Cowpland's and Sylvester's comments about changing focus to "corporate sales" for WP just last quarter.

I was aghast.

In retrospect, one could explain this blunder from the fact that Corel is a product used mostly in small shops, so Mike C and the rest of the Corel team never learned of the importance of corporate accounts.

Over the last year and a half I have not seen, met or heard of a single Word Perfect user. Microsoft now owns 50% of the legal market, one of WP's strongest niches.

Of course miracles can happen. But one has to invest based on the balance of probabilities, and currently the odds are all against WP.
