Lou: Thanks for replying. Can the comsumer order a non-Panasonic TRUV DVCpro Targa board ? Right now I use Targa1000 non-pro version and love it. Is that Panasonic card 4:2:2 ? Yesterday I read online that SONY could offer in '98 a consumer 1 chip MPEG-2 decode chip cam. Anyway that term MPEG is being thrown around with regard to comsumer cams and at some point it could offer DV format a challenge ? After all isn't it more compressed and yet just as good looking as DV ? You know, just gut level, I wonder if the MPEG-1 card thats out now did that well in comsumer cicles ? BTW: Did you read anything if CUBE dropped their M-JPEG chip ? I read something at the CUBE thread and thought I'd ask you. Does TRUV use their M-JPEG chip in the Targa ?
