Am wondering what gross would recommend for the 1% immediately below the highest 1%.

If the entire direction of gross is simply that all should pay more tax, and we already know that there shall always, mathematically be a top 1%, then gross is merely setting up for bigger still non-productive officialdom sector of the economy, and making it easier still to have the 99% sheared in favor of the 1%

In such light, the ostensible and initial increased tax payment by the 1% is not a tax! but an investment to help the officialdom sector boost tithing from everyone, and such tithing can be siphoned back out by ... Guess who ... The 1%

By being one of the largest buyer of govt bond, gross materially supported Uncle Sam, and is very guilty of helping to create the state of is, and is not substantively different from Icahn or Buffett. Wastrels to the one.
