Japan has some special problems, like rampant xenophobia and a youth that not only won't reproduce, they've apparently even given up having sex. Apples and oranges.
Sure, but that doesn't explain why Keynesians are so much in favor of Abenomics, despite the fact that it won't do anything to fix Japan's fundamental problems.

The point is that in theory, Keynesian-style deficit spending is supposed to be temporary, but in practice, it's more addictive to policy-makers than nicotine.

Even Nobel-prize laureate Krugman is hooked on the drug.
