I simply do it when someone at an adjacent check stand uses food stamps and we walk out together. Then I just use my eyeballs. I of course don't know if they own the vehicle, or what sort of loan they have, but I can tell if the vehicle is nice. Plenty of them drive off in nice vehicles. Some do walk. There are no buses here, so that isn't an option. I also like to eyeball their body mass index. Its enlightening as well.
