BTW: further on currency options. My broker J finally got through to the derivatives desk, and discovered, as I'd suggested, taht it's more complicated, in a way (well, in many ways), than one thinks. Armed with appropriate symbols, he tried 'em out on the Quotron, which promptly turned to alphabet soup. So he rebooted and tried again. Same thing. Turns out they need a New Application for this. We'll see...but my guess is that today was The Day to short the yen... Tonight they'll come out with a poopy Save Japan plan that'll please no one...
And then I tried to short the XAU on the close. Index up a little in the last 15 minutes, but they jerked the ask on the puts up, too, the creeps. So didn't get hit.
Some days you can't do anything right. Except fix your email. And Perfect Eric DID make a nice wrapping paper cover for the Christmas tree pot. I'd meant to, but lacked the energy.
