Look as far as i can tell the only thing keeping di Blasio from implementing a full socialist agenda so far is/was his need to receive help from other politicians. Once he has the power and no longer needs these people he'll just do what he wants or use all the power levers to steam roller his agenda thru--with the help of the unions which will saddle NYC with more debt. If one does admire the Sandinistas then one is for a centrally planned economy that limits individual and market choice as solutions. If that is "McCarthyism" it is news to me..
