If you are seriously worrying about de Blasio and "socialism," (it's extremely hard to imagine any one would on either account--because "socialism" would be threatening or because de Blasio is such or would enact such) then you should actually read up on the guy. Rather than let WSJ op ed stuff feed your paranoia.

Best place to do this is go online and search back through the NYTimes website. They've done more than a few articles on who he is, on who his family is, on his period in city government, on his work for the Clintons (he was Hillary's campaign manager in her first run for the senate seat), on his rather pragmatic approach to government, and so on.

The stuff you read and link here is, at best, only right wing spin. At worse, it reeks of McCarthyism.
