Based on the little real information we have, I agree with your post.

As for page load speed when ads are displayed, When I view SI without blocking ads, the loads slow to the point of being unusable. When I block ads, the site speed is close to what it used to be. As I said in my post to Dimitry on the other board, management should have beefed up the infrastructure to accomodate the added load of serving up the ads before deploying them.

They are asking users to view ads while suffering a great degradation in site speed. And condemning them for trying to get the speed back by blocking ads. All because they didn't invest in the site to adequately handle the added load.

I won't be very chatty today, I got the flu. But I'll read the thread. I hope the board can help new management hear the voices of SI's primary asset: the Users.
