You are mis-characterizing them. It is more accurate to say, these are folks that use one or two instances of in-person voter fraud to justify sweeping laws that make it harder for the other side to vote. And that stems from three things: lack of respect for democracy, complete detachment from "the others", and single minded pursuit of winning at all costs (or do I need to remind you of turd blossom's axioms?).
