Appollas was talking to Hebrews who were trying to mix the sacrifices of the Law with the grace of salvation in Jesus. After they were born again they sinned and naturally being Jews they were offering the small sacrifices for those sins according to the Law again. Appollas was explaining to them that there is no longer any sacrifice for sin because it was taken care of already after they received Jesus. He was not saying they were in danger of losing their salvation
