Sorry. It makes perfect sense to me because he was talking to Jews who all understood the Law. He is explaining something that they would all interpret in context of the Law. He is telling them that after Jesus there is no more need for sacrifice which they had a hard time dealing with because they were trained Jews. He says to them that they are by their actions saying the blood of Jesus is not good enough to cover all their sin when it is. They were having difficulty with the concept that Paul writes about here that they are completely freed from the Law. Romans 8:1-2 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Deliverance from Bondage 8 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [ a]in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
