Looks like the offering window as been closed and we'll move be moving onto the affirmation and assignment phase. It will price tomorrow and first day of trading will be on Thursday.

Analysts and talking heads are doing whatever they can to lower expectations, slam their traction on advertising as well as the valuation. All arguments do hold water but that won't stop the initial flood of buy orders after it starts trading.

The Facebook effect will likely temper some of the enthusiasm after the issue opens for trading and the best course of action, if you're not 'inside' will be to simply watch and wait. Any selling pressure could beget more selling pressure as many recall the FB debacle.

That all said, while I fully expect to be allocated to at least a small degree, I'm pretty upbeat about the issue and willing to potentially purchase AFTER the IPO as well in an average-up move. But I will base that on the action and may very well just wait for the dust to settle. No hurry.

I'm a big believer in busy models and member usage. Twitter has a huge advantage in both and has the wind at its back. What it does with that wind will be key of course and success is not guaranteed. It's easy to see some of the arguments against possible revenue growth and ad. integration.

I'm still betting with Twitter for the long haul and will be voting with my $.
