But I think it's also true that many Americans, people all over the world, really, want this very attractive leader.Someone who is easy on the eyes for 4 years. The spouse too(!). How many unattractive FLOTUS's are there in modern times?

I think its not the looks so much but the personality. Both GW and Obama were likeable. I think that's what attracts people to them. Unfortunately, H. Clinton doesn't have the same likeability.

Certainly we have many of us who don't care but on a subconscious level, speaking for myself, can I really say that physical beauty does not figure in my attraction to a candidate? I can't answer this question without some equivocation.

I am mixed on this.........if the candidate is good, looks aren't important to me. A number of people I know were really big on John Edwards........esp women. They thought he was a good looking man. He felt sleazy to me. I much prefer an Obama who I don't see so much as good looking as very likeable.


Hilary happens to be lovely and I hope she gets in shape for the grueling fight-----the good news is that she won't have to work hard during the D primaries. Or am I not paying enough attention?

Yeah, I think she's the incumbent apparent. I think she is going to have a hard time of it if she runs against Christie.
