God god, you present me with an 1850 idea about a science in its infancy as the final word and greast fevelation. You don't think our understanding of economics has not grown since then. That parable is a very primitive and simplistic idea.
LOL, that's your response? The story is old and outdated?

I present it as a simple illustration of how so-called "Keynesians" are off-the-mark with regard to economic stimulus.

But just for you, I think a more modern illustration would also be entertaining. From the sci-fi movie The Fifth Element, a lesson on "Keynesian Economics" from Gary Oldman:
