Re: <Not attempting to start anything by this comment, but I was wondering if anyone has called the company's auditors and asked them a questions. Might be a good idea for one of the thread's CPAs that something about SEC audits to give them a call.>

I am a CPA and work in the audit department of a large international firm (and work on several SEC audits). The auditors are not allowed give out or discuss the kind of information to which you are referring. They only sign the audit opinion at year-end, and in many cases, don't even issue a "Report" on quarterly financial information. There is a "client-auditor" confidentiality relationship similar to that of an attorney. Anyone is welcome to try, but I will assure you that you will get next to nothing out of the auditors.
