i'm not so sure they will continue receiving tips....or at least they will possibly be minimized...

i travel a fair amount, and i noticed that i don't see people tipping sky caps nearly as much anymore when they check bags...i've seen people hand their baggage to the skycap, take the boarding pass and walk away without tipping AT ALL (i'm sure this is because of the excess baggage check fees most airlines are charging now) once people decide they are already 'paying' for something , they are not likely to pay extra (unless there is EXCEPTIONAL service)

(btw, i ALWAYS generously tip sky caps, and i think am the exception, not the rule)
