Across the World, almost every culture has an oral or written tradition of a day of a great flood and similar features of torrents of rain flooding the entire planet and all the people of the Earth perishing save one family and some animals saved in an Ark or Canoe or some other type of Wooden vessel. This is followed by a message delivered by a bird after the rains have stopped or some other omen letting the people know they can come out of their boat or Ark and start life back over. Another interesting aspect is that almost every culture also reports that this is the time that God or the Gods makes a promise not to destroy the world again by flood through the sign of a Rainbow. And many cultures report that this was the time of the old sun or the 'Water Sun' disappears and is replaced by the 'New' Sun.
