The typhoon should have got a bulls-eye on Boracay and Elroy. But the storm surge should not be much at Elroy's place because the wind would come mostly from a northerly direction [north east] with not a lot of ocean to be built up into a big heap as the islands are close together. With the typhoon traveling so fast, it won't have much time to push much water. So not much storm surge and not even very big waves at Boracay [compared with deep open ocean coming ashore with hurricanes in the USA, or the east coast of Philippines in this case]. There is only about 1 metre of high tide today too, so that's a bonus. tides4fishing.com With Elroy's good windows and presumably properly built reinforced concrete structure it should blow by without even much debris since the building is by the water. No biggie [for Elroy though no doubt hordes of people do not have structures which will resist such continuous high winds]. Mqurice
