but if you take it from a longer view it would've been the right way to
go.

It's a shame what you've observed in Spain and elsewhere in Europe,
but it's also a consequence of letting the banks win IMO. And as much
as everything has changed it seems it stays the same (Italy)

It's quite surprising a generation on the differences between east and
west Germany still exist, people change slowly.

What a lineage! The furthest I go back is my grandfather born in
Poland a card carrying Communist as the story goes.
