And on such a tech-dragged day. I've had more luck with short positions in nimble 2-3 day trades. They seem to about-face after that, particularly when playing reversals off strength spikes, gaps notwithstanding. The RSI(14) actually peaked on 12/1, so 12/3 looked like the entry point; 12/8 the judicious and slightly conservative bailout. With yesterday's inverted hammer I still believed things looked good for more downside. Were you stopped out or still living dangerously? Often it seems these news releases are premeditated to counter the developing trend. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Airlines have been heavy hitters for the past few weeks. I try to also consider general market and specific industry trends when taking aim at specific targets. The herds move in droves that often don't discriminate.
