Verizon had problems with apple computers because their video is silvelight(5 layer video superimposed by mpeg2). ARRS has silverlight to mpeg4 conversion in cable plant equipment now. Soon Verizon and AT&T will be able to handle all makes of computers with their fiber-optics triple play system in mpeg4(mjpeg+MP3). This will give ARRS more growth potential. With mpeg4 data transmission, triple play needs more music and video sources. ARRS and Camcast has a server farm to support movie downloads. This also extends to broadcasting stations using mpeg4 and can broadcast more stations(6 total) on each carrier frequency. Media sales to fiber-optics systems and broadcasting stations will need more personnel to market the media.
