Most reviews put the MacBook Air as best in class. It's quite an expensive unit and I admit if I were going to buy another portable PC that's probably what I would buy but I've switched over totally to tablet for travel. Another nice thing about the MacBook air is that you can actually install Windows on it to run with the Mac operating system by flipping a switch ( a software switch not a physical one) or by installing the Windows operating system on another partition allowing you to boot directly to Windows by pressing two buttons simultaneously on boot. I don't use a Mac in day-to-day functioning but my daughter has one so I've had to learn a very little bit about it.
