Brokenstones

INVN seems to be offering both pressure and magnetometer but not as discrete devices. The magnetometer in the sense of the 3 axis compass within the 9 axis devices. And INVN seems to be reluctantly acknowledging they will have a 7-axis product late next year which will be a pressure sensor added on to a 6 axis device. But it appears that they are not expanding what they have in the sense of discrete devices. And it's not clear if they have their own magnetometer and pressure sensor or just incorporating somebody else's.

And I still think the INVN strategy -- particularly with their proprietary software algorithms -- only makes sense for less sophisticated devices. If I'm a sophisticated smartphone, tablet or other device maker and I want to have full control over the type of interpretation and the type of applicability that my product offers then I probably don't want it constrained in any way via a 3rd party's software that can only interpret a limited device set. Despite that , I think INVN has very significant market opportunities with what they say they are doing.
