Aurora, Dark Knight shooting: 7/20/12 totals 39. (7+20+12)
Sandy Hook Elementary 12/14/12 totals 38. (12+14+12)
You see? All famous well publicized mass shootings on a Friday, with the dates counting down 40, 39, 38.

Norway was on 22/7/2011 (according to the way they express dates over in Europe), and as you can see, that totals 4/20. (2+2) = 4, and (7+2+11 = 20).
