The short-short rule, which I followed with great interest when it was approved, will definitely change the playing field next year. I believe it will cause APM to be depressed for a LONGER, rather than shorter, time. It is pretty clear that APM will have 2 quarters that are "not so good" (pathetic or just weak depending on your viewpoint). Since the fund managers no longer have to satisfy the short-short rule, they will move their money to whatever stocks are moving up on fundamentals. This will probably add substantial volatility to the stocks being hyped.

I anticipate they will move into APM sometime in the late 2'nd or early 3'rd quarter, slightly before the news from APM gets good.

Just my opinion, but I would bet money on this one.
