We agree on the increased volatility aspect of the short short rule. I take this to imply options may be underpriced right now as they don't anticipate an increased vol. I also look for next year to be a difficult one to make money in. This year you could throw money at just about any stock and make out, until Sept at least. Now I could have bought ORCL, NSM or AMAT/CYMI and lost my shirt just as easily as APM, but instead I've 'diversified' into other sectors. Great educational opportunity- if I can't make it a down market, maybe next year I should stay out of the market. I expect to be invested though.
