Hello there Tech Wiz: OTOTOT

<<Any thoughts on Magnesium. I saw something on one thread about a deficiency causing heart attacks.>>>

Any thoughts about Magnesium:
There is a city in Greece by name Magnesia, where large deposits of magnesium is found, hence the name Magnesium. As Greek words to medical literature & iron to hemoglobin , so is magnesium to the chlorophyll in the plants.
70 % of Magnesium resides in the bone along with Calcium and Phosphorus. The rest is distributed in tissues and body fluids. Magnesium is part of enzyme activation. Adults need about 350mg of magnesium , mostly obtained from food. Unmilled grains, legumes, nuts , and green vegetables have magnesium. Fruits (except banana ) and dairy products, meats and fish are poor sources. Anything that interferes with absorptive function of intestine gives rise to magnesium deficiency. Also anything that causes excessive urination such as diuretic drugs, alcohol, caffeine, diabetic state etc results in loss of magnesium in the urine.
As to your question about magnesium and heart, magnesium relieves coronary artery spasm . Low magnesium is found in heart attack patients, but the cause or the effect question is yet to be resolved.

Magnesium deficiency is rare in normal individuals. It has a sedative effect on nerves, dilative on coronary blood vessels, and depressive on brain. Toxicity makes muscles week and flabby in addition to respiratory paralysis, heart block, circulatory collapse, low body temperature, and depressed brain function

Low magnesium level causes convulsions. Used also in women for preclampsia ,high blood pressure, in suspected acute myocardial infarction to counteract low levels, and irregular heart beats. Its value in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is not yet determined.

Can you give us an idea what the outlook on INTEL is in the next 6 months or so. Do you think that Oracle is a buy? Do you day trade? If so do you use any set of criteria, like Stochastics, RSI ADX +Di, -DI, 1/5 minute charts etc. TIA

Paul
