There was no vilification on my part. They had every right to be angry and in fact most Americans were very angry and rightly so. Perhaps Tea Party was angrier than most because the betrayal came at the hands of Bush administration than DNC. So they felt they had nowhere else to go to but to take matters into their own hands. Good for them! That is how it should be.

It was one of those rare (and sadly brief) moments where the corporate bottom feeders and welfare queens felt a genuine threat. Not just from what passes in the US politics as the "left" but also from a core component of the Right. So they went to work to do what they always do. Like an aikido master they redirected the energy and momentum away from themselves and towards truffles and their opponents. Whereas originally most people were willing to give Tea Party a chance as a genuine 3rd option, the party no longer has a platform with mass appeal. If you don't see that, it's too bad.
