Of course I disagree. What's more, one of the assertions is specifically mentioned in the latest IPCC report as a possible explanation for the pause, that is, that the solar cycle could be responsible for the pause. Are you claiming that the latest IPCC report has "demonstrably untrue" statements in it? Or do you deny that they mention solar cycles as a possible explanation for the pause?

You seem to have changed the nature of your statements. Here's what you said that I called "untrue".

The question that is under political debate is "should we have laws with the object of reducing carbon emissions in the United States".

That question is never asked of scientists. Nor are scientists asked "do humans cause most of global warming", or "is global warming a threat to our nations security". They're not asked questions like "could solar cycles have contributed to some of the warming of the last 50 years" .

To say that the scientific community does not support legislation to reduce C emissions is what I called untrue. Ditto for the rest of your statements. The very fact that the IPCC report deals with cause/effect at all is proof that the scientific community is indeed asking itself such questions and providing plausible answers. Take the antartic ice issue for instance...deniers will point, somewhat superficially, to the fact that ice sheet is increasing. Well, the better informed view is that sea ice increases (and melts) yearly, but land ice is clearly decreasing...and to your point, the scientific community has given an explanation for why this is happening...and it has not changed their view that global warming continues.
