Terence - could we/should we do away with shorting? The way it is, these professional brokerage house run up the stocks they have underwritten so they can get rid of them. Then because they knew all along that it was all a load of crap just for them to get rid of the stock, they know it is safe to short the stock. So they make money on the way up and down. Usually they have some cheap options they can pick up so they can safely short the stock

Perhaps, brokerages (and their employees) that participate in a company financing should be forbidden to short the stock.

The VSE may be forced to do something about this situation or become extinct as it could go down in the 500 range any day. And this to a great extent is simply a lack of faith by the public in the kind of company and practices that go on with the VSE, all brought out when there is a bit of a hiccup in the (gold) and the exploration sector.
