That implies a more realistic assessment of the situation than I believe Kerry or Obama is capable of. I believe the scariest thing is that when Kerry runs off at the mouth, he is speaking his thought -- typical progressive ideological nonsense blaming Israel as the "white, western " player against "3rd world authentic virtue". Kerry and Obama are impervious to all facts beyond their immediate political problems. In short, they are babes in the bazaar, and the Iranians are preparing to take full advantage. So horrifying is this prospect to both Saudi Arabia and Israel that they are breaking with a US that can no longer be trusted, and moving into alliance with each other -- and whatever mediation France can provide.
