On some planets in the galaxy the prevailing first evolved intelligent form is humanoid, but after a million years of development, the humans leave and go somewhere unidentified. They leave but they leave the planet in a condition that would allow newly evolved intelligent species. Within about 50 million years other species on the planet then evolve intelligence, civilization, technology. Eventually, some one of these specie prevails, destroys the other competing ones, and then goes out into the galaxy just as the precursor humanoids had done in previous eons. These followers have a far different demeanor. They're like Borg or locusts and morphologically like ants, in contradistinction to the 99% usual reptilian/humanoid line of evolution.
As mentioned before the galaxy is dominated, 85%, by reptilians. Reptilian specie last 100 - 200 million years until they exhaust the limits of their mental development. Reptilians often evolve into bird like creatures with beaks, but when reptilians of anisomorphological form reach their evolved limit, they don't migrate from their world of origin in contrast to the humanoids which almost always do. It has something to do with the desirability of eternal pecking order, caste. Reptilians worship caste because they say the order of it extends specie life expectancy. After a race has existed sufficiently long time it(the communistic hive organism) only cares about its specie's survival, nothing about God.
The ant and locust species are particularly odious to the humanoids especially when these oddballs of evolution realize they've reached the limit. Then they go looking for advanced humanoid societies in order to destroy them based on the principle of stamping out the inferiors. That's the type that send individual star ships around the galaxy scavenging, looking to abduct in order to improve their dying specie. Not that genetic theft is all that uncommon, but it is illegal up to enforcement, a declining quantity in the young race realm. Reptilians use implants to control greys, and greys control synthetics directly. Ants are always at war with reptilians. Locusts are at war with ants and greys because in general they don't have as sophisticated technology.
The advanced ants have mastered technology, physics, up to the 7th scale around 10^12 Gev, but they're at war with God, and they hate all humanoids. The ants are monomaniac murderers. The advanced Reptilians who could control them, don't bother. They want to see if the ants will rid the galaxy of the infesting humanoids, at least the humanoids they've been able to identify, the younger humanoid races, for the older humanoid ones which predate the ancient Reptilians, have disappeared. All races seek evolutionary longevity, technology.
Star ships. As mentioned here before Lazar has accurately described the basic principles. He read the black book. Didn't get it reverse engineering because the craft can't be understood by current human physics. The devices work by telepathy and they require a powerful enough mind to operate/access them. Some of the models require that the operator wear what I have termed a "tarnhelm". The craft scans your brain to allow you to board and then you must wear the tarnhelm to propel and navigate the ship. Navigation is extremely complex although humans know most of the navigation concepts already. However, the tarnhelm must be in direct contact with the skull so there's a minimum of transmission hysteresis, where such hysteresis could preclude critical maneuvers allowed in inertia free space. Propulsion is all automated. The velocity max in metric space is a function of the ship's mass and is approximately 10^10c for the 30 ft sports model. There are two known means of propulsion, gravity drive, and another whose description I haven't perused yet and may not be available. Concerning the intelligence of the ship, examination using every known penetrating wave has revealed no internal wiring. There's no computer aboard. No electronics of any kind, or at least that we can identify or operate. We know the craft is intelligent but we don't know where the intelligence resides. It might be distributed in the atomic matrix of adamantine material that makes up most the device in some way totally unknown to us. We only know that in some of the craft held by the US govt. a tarnhelm is necessary to operate these craft. The tarnhelm is presented on entry if one can gain access. Some can, and no one knows why. Doesn't do any good. The human brain is too weak and muddled to be detected by the craft's intelligence. In other non tarnhelm required craft access is automatic but entry is enigmatic. There's no controls or other devices and no action-at-a-distance intelligence is sensed. These kind are totally unknown and but have the gravity triangular amplifiers on the bottom of the hull much like the ones that require the tarnhelm. Then there are other ones the govt. has where we can't gain access. It's like a big rock. Shows no signs of intelligence and no triangular gravity ports on the bottom. All of these ships are classic, clean line flying saucers, and their design is absolutely simple but beautiful. All are perfectly axis symmetric down to a nanometer and this design element may be critical for the management of tidal stresses coming from gravity drives in natural gravity fields. Do aliens float inside their ships? No. The drives can be operated to warp the continuum in a way that creates a resultant field inside the ship so that they can walk around as though natural gravity were available. Once one is inside, strapped in, and propelled, there is very little inertial force on the body because inertia has been neutralized. It's like Einstein's elevator with acceleration but also with artificial gravity. Once the ship has reached its optimal speed there's only artificial gravity that's evident.
