I tried Windows 8 yesterday, and while I could navigate it pretty well, it seemed a lousy way to work around a desktop, IMO.

Here's an article from Business Insider regarding Sex Robots. They say 2050, but I think much sooner.

How can MSFT remain relevant when their cash cow (Office) has been moving to free and their OS (Windows) has been draining market share to iOS and Android?

Software naturally seems to want to gravitate towards free, kind of following Moore's Law. Most of us could wake up tomorrow without MSFT and find pretty decent alternatives to MSFT products, much like people could shop somewhere else other than JCP or SHLD. Training would be the big pain for this kind of switch, however. A huge pain, particularly in geezerland.
