The fact is that 80 or 90K will pretty much get you in the top 10%, and my heart does bleed for the people who earn that amount. We couldn't get by on it, and couldn't have for sure when our kids were little and we were trying to figure out how to get them through university educations. One damned book can cost hundreds of dollars now because, essentially, of government intervention which raised the cost of education to the point future generations have no hope.
