WiLAN Subsidiary Enters License Agreement with Turbine OTTAWA, Canada – November 21, 2013 – Wi-LAN Inc. (“WiLAN” or the “Company”) (TSX:WIN) (NASD:WILN) announced that its Treehouse Avatar Technologies. Inc. (“Treehouse”) subsidiary has entered into a license agreement with Turbine, Inc. (“Turbine”) related to avatar technology. As a result of this agreement, pending litigation between Treehouse and Turbine will be dismissed. Treehouse was established to license certain patent assets of a corporation founded by the inventors of this technology. A share of the licensing revenue generated will be paid to the inventors’ corporation. WiLAN’s Gladios division is responsible for day-to-day management and execution of the licensing partnership program. The terms of all agreements are confidential.
