Your work, the figures, like many oscillators ,it seems to me, measures intermediate term activity, 2 - 3 months at a time. Do you think that you can use them for long term direction?
Fintas says: DUH YES! This was written in July.. I had spx 1458 for 2014 before JULY.. YOUR problem is YOU only heard and read what YOUR BRAIN was thinking versus what I was doing and stating. YUP uze not only a dip chit, you couldn't find your way out of 3 sided room. I.e U SHAPED.
Right now the intermediate term momentum is up. That may change soon, but I don't see the signs of it yet. I see no reason to fight it, particularly with time based decaying put options. For SPY options I need a foreseeable 10% move in a one to two month time period. Otherwise the risk is not worth it.
FINTAS SAYS:There in lies your limitation. YOU CAN ONLY SEE 1/2 month TIME period.. THUS you think ALL only see 1/2 month time period. And more importantly YOU think the RISK is not worth it. That is you fear and profile. That is NOT mine yet you project YOURS on me...DIP CHIT.. I am on record I buy LONG TERM and tha definition in itself covers more than 2 months..
Is there a SPX number at which you would say that it is time to sell the core? What would you base that decision on? What are a few stocks in your core holdings?
Fintas says: I sell when a core hits a target. PERIOD and I have stated such often and acted on such. My core holdings are posted often. Do your homework. Yet I gave SI ONE and YOU did nada. Wanna know why? PLUCK PLUCK.. CHICKEN.. DRYS at 2.15
