The reason so many people don't like Win 8 is because it's the most radically different release that Microsoft has had since Windows 95 and even with Win 95, I think it was easier to adjust to at the time. The differences between Vista and Win 7 aren't that great, but the differences between Win 7 and Win 8 are huge.
