I don't remember being sent home early as our day was almost over by the time most of the events unfolded. I think school was cancelled on Monday though. The one girl that I mentioned cried all through the news and a number were sobbing. I think most of us were stunned / shocked but not old enough to grasp the enormity of what happened.
