Sam, re I have seen stocks tank before on bad news, but cant remember ever seeing such stability in price after the gap down open. How about INTC recently. Gapped down 5 pts to 86-87, stayed in that range all day, trading around 62.5M shares. Also this past Feb(?) 97, Cascade Communications (CSCC) gapped down over 20 pts and traded at 41-42, trading around 41M shares if I remember right. FWIW, both INTC and CSCC continued on down from there in ensuing days. I'm not saying this will happen with ORCL, because I don't follow the stock. DK
