according to the treasury department of the government
at their website: treasurydirect.gov
Under Bush debt went from $5.7T to $11.2T = $5.5T
Under Obama debt went from $11.2T to $17.0T (and counting) = $5.8T
Strictly by the numbers, 5.8 > 5.2 . . . but in much less time!
Approximately same debt added in half the time = exponential.
Under Bush, most of that debt increase was defending our country . . .
under Obama, there was a lot defending our country, but much more on other programs.
BUT, that is just a matter of opinion of which programs are "worthy" . . SO . . .
we'll just stick with the plain, straight, factual numbers.

Approximately same debt added in half the time = exponential.

Nothing to argue . . . just the facts.
