Of course - nothing is 100% secure - its all about risk management....

And the effective transmit distance is an inch or so with NFC - with a possibility of signal interception within a meter... (per the previous post) vs. bluetooth le that blast 200- 300 feet.

Bluetooth LE is very cool and will do incredibly well.... but it much more risky than NFC for financial transactions.
