>>"... Since Razor has been assimilated, I don't know any other oil experts on the threads -"

By the way --- I do think Razor is still around.... I see him post on occasion.

There are plenty of us who work in the industry out here. I have not posted here in months due to what has been a general dis-interest in the board participants in understanding what really happens in the industry in favor of the "wishful thinking". ... way too much of the latter but that is fine with me. I chose months ago not to speak actively against it any longer.

My personal congrats, though, go to QDOG who has for many months diligently posted the most level-headed and accurate perspectives on what happens in real-life in the industry despite the many nay-sayers who would like to believe that a miracle, get rich-quick announcement is "still" right around the corner. I suggest that any newcomers to this board go back and read the track record of QDOG comments.

As for Red Sea Oil --- QDOG is right again; very encouraging information but despite the generally dependable accuracy of well logs and limited drilling data, there is a lot more factors that will come into play before a commercial discovery is delineated or the size can be determined. And it will be almost mandatory to wait on a true well test to assess the prospects of the well any further. I often find it both worthless and discouraging for small companies to generate the "angst" and speculation in their stocks based on interim drilling results in their operations. They really mean so little.

Even worse is to speculate on reserves based on seismic data as is the AIPN case. AIPN and Millenium created this "problem" themselves and now it appears they wish they hadn't other than the initial early summer benefit the stock got from the publicity. QDOG is right again ---- Wavetech data interpretation will be welcome BUT the wells still must be drilled. OLD Russian wells mean little to me unless I could see meaningful log data from them. Don't know anyone has. Blowouts ?? ---- too many unanswered questions; non commercial wells can blowout as easily as good ones. So someone - AIPN or a JV - must drill wells. Many of them. The story will take much time to fully unfold.

As for my own thoughts on AIPN, many many encouraging events have happened over the months that bring in my mind an increased level of legitimacy to what is happening. I can see many scenarios where very successful outcomes for the shareholders can occur. But much speculation is still absurd ---- as Tony Hsu said and I agree ---- these Billion plus up-front cash buyouts speculated in chat rooms just don't fit into the reality realm.

Those who have been patient and watching for events reflecting mainstream negotiations for exploration rights, Jv agreements based on reasonable values and operating criteria are on the right track. These take time --- those expecting JV announcements months ago have continued to be wrong. Those that still think the recently signed "exploration agreement" infers increased likelihoods of $50 share buyouts are wrong wrong wrong.

With all respects to the many long time participants on this board.
