Fascinating, Cardiomedics! "Cardiomedics" (if it is really Cardiomedics!) spits out some clarifications. I personally doubt that this post comes from Cardiomedics: one reason is that nobody signed and that spelling mistakes are numerous (like in my posts.... but then again, English is NOT my mothertongue). Furthermore, I don't believe Vasomedical has ever posted here. May be Vasomedical "cannot" because they are publically traded. If the post is not from Cardiomedics: forget the next comments. If the post is from Cardiomedics here are some of my thoughts. I would not invest in this company at this point. Let's face it: they have a bad track record in my (superficial) book (not that Vasomedical has done perfectly either). Cardiomedics said: <<Cardiomedics recieved its 510K in 1987>> and compared GM to VASOMEDICAL and Cardiomedics to a "Japaneese" company. Interesting: what did Cardiomedics do since 1987? NO big recognized patient efficacy studies as far as I know (otherwise Vasomedical would not have taken off that way). Then again I may be wrong and studies exist but "did not take" in the medical community. Cardiomedics seems to advertise their own "not foreign controll Silicone Valley new system"... BUT ...they presented an ineffective system in November 1996... how come? Since 1987 their system should have worked to perfection! (IMHO). From my reading: EECP hemodynamically works (see numerous studies) and to make EECP tranportable does not need a rocket scientist, methinks. Let me stop here. I think the Cardiomedics is so very unprofessional that it does not speak well for that company (always, IMHO and in my book). But as stated in the introduction, I do not believe that a reputable company would "clarify" their state of affairs that way. Is it a post from Don ? Oohlala! Let's review the typos! Don: why don't you start a S.I. Cardiomedics thread? Then we could work on Cardiomedics background, ongoing research and hopefully completely correct and refute my negative comments (some of which are most likely due to my lack of knowledge about Cardiomedics as a company,... no question about that). I would be glad to do some more due diligence on Cardiomedics. Gaston PS: the recent VASO sell off was obviously a possibility as hinted by T/A analysis (some of which I expressed on this thread, before the big sell off).
