fwiw, someone mentioned AOL on this thread. The quality of this thread on SI is and has been very high. I for one prefer to keep it that way and have made efforts in the past to do so. This post is a similar effort.
It's important to keep this high quality debate going.
We are all better for it.
I have not seen anyone who is "blindly" bullish on fonix. If anyone wants to see something like that to satisfy their curiosity as to what that is like (despite a ruthless down trend in the stock price), try reading the ANCR thread since late September of this year. Take a look at a chart first. The comparison should reveal that the fonix thread is made up of fair and realistic assessments on either side.
Frank, high quality research is hard work. And checking, Yahoo, SI, and AOL threads and the news is maintenance, and part of it, but is not primary research. There is far more to it than that. For example, Parx mentioned that he talked with Siemens, others have said that they have been out to SLC themselves (as I have), others have been persisent callers and researchers into VR and ASR and neural net technologies (as I have).
Frank, maybe people who do this kind of work are "insiders" (of a type)...but not in the usual sense of the word...they are part of the elite corps of people who do their homework diligently and consistently...naturally they wish to communicate with those of a similar work ethic. But that ethic can only be hoped for and appreciated when it happens. Expectation will only disappoint, imho.
I value the work you and Bob and Parx and others have contributed whether it fits my hopes and picture of the company or not. I also value your humanity, humor, and sense of fairness. Thank you, gentlemen!
