You are probably thinking of Rossi. And you might be thinking of his promise of having a commercial LENR product delivering in October 2012. Well October 2013 just came and went and I don't believe you can buy one today.

It is unfortunate that Rossi became the public face and voice of LENR since he turned out to be a dud. But there are plenty of credible scientists (Rossi isn't a scientist) and commercial companies seemingly making progress in the field. I hope where there's smoke there's fire. In Rossi's case where there was smoke there were mirrors.
