Hi Paul! ... while you're enjoying the show, can you find out a bit more about this:

Novell Inc. will use the Internet World trade show in mid-December to outline its plans for creating a complete Java-on-the-server development environment called Open Solutions Architecture.
Novell CEO Eric Schmidt highlighted the importance of Java on the server to Novell's future products and corporate direction during a conference call with analysts Tuesday, following the release of the company's fourth-quarter earnings.

"Most of the attention in the industry has been on the Java client with the [Sun Microsystems Inc.] lawsuit [against Microsoft Corp.], and that is controlled by one operating system, but the server is where it's happening," Schmidt said. "The server environment by nature is heterogeneous, and that plays to Java's strongest suit. On the server, Java will be the language of electronic commerce, and Novell will deliver smart new services that live across the network. We will use Java to add value to our Internet business solutions. Novell was the first company to license Java for servers. The first thing we will do is to have a very scalable Java [Virtual Machine]."

If this is done well, it could make a big improvement in Novell's outlook both as a good investment and vendor of IP network software.

Here's hoping that they've improved their PR enough to make this message effective!
