Yeah, kind of like Thorium reactors.

Actually, it's just about anything we see around us that has been envisioned, engineered, and implemented/built by mankind.

Let us count the number providing power...

"(MSRE) was an experimental molten-salt nuclear reactorat the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) researching this technology through the 1960s; constructed by 1964, it went critical in 1965 and was operated until 1969.

Now the U-233 used in it was created from Thorium 232. But there is nothing that prevents the use of Thorium, or Uranium-233, or even Plutonium (think nuclear waste disposal) from fueling an MSR. So it's really not about Thorium so much, but actually taking all that R&D on MSRs, improving upon it, and bringing it into commercial reality..

Please don't take this personally, ok? I am from the school of whatever works best, ok?.. IF someone has a better and safer proposal than Thorium fueled MSRs, then I'm cool with it.

If LENR's are found to be everything that is being claimed, I'm cool with that. In fact, I'm REALLY COOL with that.. I have no problem with 200KWs being converted into 1.5 million MW.. That sounds like a damn good deal to me..

So what's holding it back with those kinds of profit margins? I know what's holding back MSRs (and every type of nuclear reactor..) But I don't understand LENR being held back.. especially if the tech can be liscensed.
