Scientists tell us what is real. The problem with the Republicans is very little of what they advocate is smart because they don't listen to the scientists.

Bureaucrats use scientists when making policy. Policy is mostly made at the administrative level. E.g. a fisheries biologist usually manages fish stocks.

Unless the pubs have the power to negate them.
